How to Care for Elderly Patients Who Need Dental Work

Dental work can be a challenge for elderly patients, especially those who are unable to travel to a dentist’s office. That’s why our geriatric house-call dentists offer tooth extraction services that can be performed safely at home.

To ensure that our elderly patients receive the best possible care, we take a few extra steps to ensure their safety and comfort. We use a gentle touch when performing the procedure. We understand that many of our patients are anxious about dental work, so we do everything we can to make them feel at ease.

We clean and sterilize all of our equipment before and after each patient. This ensures that there is no risk of cross-contamination or infection.

We do not rush when performing tooth extractions for our elderly patients. The decision to remove a tooth is not one that we take lightly, and we always take the time to fully assess each patient’s individual needs. In some cases, it may be possible to save a tooth that would otherwise need to be extracted. However, in other cases, extraction may be the best option for the health of the patient. Regardless of the decision that is made, we always take care to ensure that our elderly patients are comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire process. We understand that losing a tooth can be a difficult experience, but we are here to help our patients through every step of the way.

If you or someone you know needs geriatric dental care, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to discuss our services and answer any questions you may have. Thank you for considering us!
