When preparing to extract a tooth, be extra cautious when taking a medical history. Patients with a history of prostate cancer, multiple myeloma or other bone metastases may be taking or have taken certain medications.
Patients should avoid all extractions. We want to avoid osteonecrosis from occurring, which is a very painful and difficult to treat diagnosis.
